I was really upset this morning when I woke up and the scale barely moved this week. I know my time of the month is around the corner, but I have been working really hard so it really bummed me out to lose less than a pound this week. My husband weighed in after me, and he had only lost a pound since his last weigh in, but he said his jeans were falling off. I said well I have heard sometimes when you don’t lose weight to measure yourself because you can lose inches instead of pounds.
We have been working out quite a bit lately. We went on a two-hour bike ride the other day, and it was an incredible adventure. When we got home, we were extremely sore. Thank god for Aleve. I am thinking maybe this week I didn’t lose because I gained muscle and lost inches. I decided to go and find a pair of jeans I haven’t worn since before my two-year-old was born. THEY FIT! I was so excited I told my husband TAKE A PICTURE, TAKE A PICTURE!! I was so excited. Last I tried to fit in these jeans, I was 218 pounds, and they were so tight the button wasn’t even close to closing. This time the button closed, and it was comfortable! It made me just ignore the scale for the week, and it made me feel so awesome that this is working!
The above pictures with my son were taking right before our two hour bike ride.
Every four weeks I plan on sharing my current and first picture with you all so you can see how far I am coming along.
Week 1 Day 1:
A Non scale victory I had recently was when I friend came by and ordered pizza for us and I heated up my Nutrisystem pizza. That was really rough.
Picture is a little blurry, but in the background is the pizza our friend ordered and in the front is my delicious Nutrisystem pizza. I love that Nutrisystem has comparable items that often lead us to cheat when you are trying to lose weight.
I was so excited about the jeans that this morning I put on an old shirt. I was so bummed when I got so fat. I couldn’t wear it anymore. I didn’t want to give it away because I loved it. When I tried it on today, it fit!! It feels great because I feel like I am gaining some outfits. After I gained weight, I stopped buying clothes. It just wasn’t fun anymore. I have about five shirts, maternity jeans and shorts. Now I don’t need the maternity jeans, and I am gaining some old T-shirts back. I can’t wait to try on some old dresses at Week 12, I will try those on. I still have 83 pounds to lose and I have a long way to go, but there is no turning back now.
(My Henry is such a ham I swear. Every time I turn on the camera he has to come over and be in the picture)
In a previous post, I had said that we were heading to Pennsylvania to review Sesame Place at a discounted price, but we are heading to Washington, DC instead. The cost of our trip to Pennsylvania was getting a little too high, so it made more sense to go to Washington, DC to see my husband’s best friend and do some train-related stuff that my husband and boys will love. I plan on bringing some of my Nutrisystem food as a backup, but I think I may practice on flexing some meals while we are on vacation and share the options with you in my next post. I did so well last time we went on a trip that I think I will be ok this time.
