I still plan on using the Nutrisystem guidelines because I believe that they really do work, but I will be following the guidelines of Sinusitis: Dietary and Lifestyle Recommendations to improve symptoms. This means I can’t eat any packaged Nutrisystem food, but that I can do flex meals. Flex meals are meals that you make with your own food that meet the requirements. A typical day for me would be:
Smart Carb: 120 calories with 1 gram of fiber
Powerfuel: 120 calories with 5 grams of protein or more.

The book says 1 smart carb, but the desserts Nutrisystem sends are 200 calories less, so I usually do 1 smart carb, 1 powerfuel, but I don’t exceed 200 calories.
4 servings of veggies a day and 64oz or more of water.
