The above video speaks volumes because it is things that I hear a lot while I have been on my Nutrisystem journey.
Myth one: Nutrisystem is just another fad diet.
Truth: Nutrisystem has been helping people lose weight for over 40 years. The ingredients in their food have changed a little and so has the program, but people always see results if they follow the program.
Myth two: On Nutrisystem you can’t enjoy the food you love.
Truth: Do you know when I check into restaurants with my husband that friends will message me and be like, “Hey are you having a cheat day?” Even my mom at one point did that. No I am not cheating I can eat wherever I want. I just have to order within the Nutrisystem Guidelines. This is how I got to go to Outback on my wedding anniversary. I don’t have to just eat Nutrisystem meals, but they are delicious so even if I had to that wouldn’t be an issue.
Even if something I wanted wasn’t in the book I could have checked out Outback’s website for their nutrition menu and ordered a dinner that was 2 powerfuels and one smart carb. So it would have been a meal that was 360 calories with 10 grams of protein and 1 gram or more of fiber. Same with any restaurant. As long as they have nutrition info I can order from anywhere. Even McDonald’s. Now Outback brings bread to the table, and although I have been tempted before I actually didn’t touch it. We usually would ask for seconds, and they actually had to take it away because my husband only had two small slices. WHAT? I was proud of us too!
Myth three: Nutrisystem food is bland.
Truth: I don’t know where this crazy rumor started, but Nutrisystem food is far from bland. It is full of flavor and even my toddlers beg for it, and they are the pickiest eaters in the world. Does this look bland to you? It is one perfect portions Perdue chicken breast with Nutrisystem White Cheddar Mac N Cheese with about a tsp of Buffalo Sauce. Bland? Not in the slightest! This recipe came direct from the Nutrisystem Leaf, and it was delish!
Myth four: Nutrisystem foods are full of bad preservatives.
Truth: While this may have been true many years ago Nutrisystem has made several changes to their food line, and the ingredients nowadays are pretty amazing! Some people won’t be happy until everything is organic. I am really happy about the changes they have made over the years, and I can only see them improving. You also have to keep in mind that if it was all organic then it probably wouldn’t be affordable to most people trying to lose weight.
Myth Five: You will be hungry on Nutrisystem
Truth: You may struggle a little bit if you do Fast Five (Turbo Take Off) I will be honest. Those initial seven days can be rough, but after that you will never be hungry again. I am never hungry on Nutrisystem because it is full of high-fiber foods that keep me full and if for some crazy reason I do get, hungry veggies are unlimited! I could eat 18 cups of broccoli if I wanted to, but I probably won’t!
Myth six: Meal provided programs don’t work.
Truth: Before Nutrisystem, I was an extremely busy stay at home/work at home Mom and if the day got to be too stressful, I would order out and eat random snacks all day. With Nutrisystem, my meals are planned out for me, so I don’t even have to think on days when I am overwhelmed.
Myth seven: Nutrisystem is too expensive.
Truth: Programs start as low as $8/day You can save over 25% versus eating on your own.
Myth eight: If I don’t like the food, I am out of a lot of money.
Truth: Nutrisystem has a money-back guarantee.
Myth nine: All Nutrisystem success stories are paid actors.
Truth: Nutrisystem only features people that have found real success with Nutrisystem.
Myth ten. Nutrisystem doesn’t offer one on one counseling support.
Truth: They have trained weight-loss counselors, nutritionist and diabetes educators.
Myth eleven: Nutriystem doesn’t offer fitness plans.
Truth: They offer My Daily 3 personalized fitness plans to help maximize your success.
Myth twelve: You will gain the weight after you stop the Nutrisystem program.
Truth: If you go back to eating excessive calories like you did before then yes you will gain weight. Nutrisystem sets you up for success even after you stop eating their food. As long as you follow the program and make it a lifestyle change you will not again the weight back.
Myth thirteen: Myth: Nutrisystem doesn’t teach you about nutrition or how to eat healthy.
Truth: They offer healthy lifestyle lessons that you can learn and live by.
See ya next week!!
