I was recently asked to have a pretend birthday party at Chuck E Cheese’s and since my older son Adam is almost 4 I knew it was time. Prior to being asked he had been seeing the commercials and had been begging to go. My youngest son Henry who will be turning 2 in June also had a blast. He just looked at Chuck E Cheese in such amazement.
Adam was so excited when we arrived he ran up to the door!
When we arrived inside we were taken to our birthday party table!
Adam was super curious what was inside his birthday baggie. We always celebrate their birthday together because they were born two weeks apart. So they also celebrated their fake birthday together, and both received a baggie full of goodies!
We were greeted by our host Halei and asked what kinda of pizza we wanted. It was just us four, so we only got one pizza with sausage and pepperoni. This pizza was out of this world, and we live in Chicago where yummy pizza lives. I am actually craving it as I am typing this post. They put a garlic butter or something on top of the pizza, and I just loved that. Henry and my husband thought it was yummy as well! Adam didn’t want any pizza; he just wanted to play the games, so off we went!
Once we were on the floor playing games, it was hard to get Adam to come back to the table. We even told him there would be cake, but I don’t think he believed us. lol. He just wanted to play the games.
We did finally manage to get him to the table where him and his brother were given blow up Chuck E Cheese dolls. They still play with them daily. After they asked what kind of cake, we wanted we were counting down the minutes until Chuck E Cheese himself came out to party with us!!
Then we got to go into the ticket blaster! Adam got to go in twice. Once with me and once with daddy because it scared Henry pretty bad! Adam didn’t mind though he had a blast trying to grab all the tickets, and he did an awesome job!
After the ticket blaster we enjoyed some cake!
The cake was pretty good, but I think if we have their actual birthday party there in June that I would bring our own cake. Last year, I made them a Toy Story cake and the year before that was Thomas the train cupcakes. Adam’s first cake was Elmo and Grover flying an airplane. I am not sure what theme we will be going with this year. Everyone’s advice has been to get them each their own cake since they celebrate together. Henry is really into trains. Chuggington to be exact and Adam is all over the place. He likes trains, Blaze and the monster machines, UmiZoomi, Paw Patrol and other random shows, so I am waiting until it gets closer to their birthday to pick a theme for Adam. I am sure Henry will end up being Chuggington.
After cake we played a few more games and cashed in our tickets!
Then it was times to cash in some toys. Adam picked out a Chuck E Cheese’s truck, playdoh, and a 3 car set. Henry picked out a Chuck E Cheese’s Teddy bear and a Chuck E Cheese’s truck. We were able to keep the rest of our tickets on a receipt for when come back later.
Henry has been sleeping and carrying his little bear around ever since! Totally worth the 700 tickets! Adam said that is what he wants to get the next time we go!
We were given a ton of tokens at the birthday party celebration, and we plan on going back for a day of fun really soon! I can’t wait to have some of the delicious pizza again! They have tons of menu items to choose from including salads and appetizers. You can check out their menu here:https://www.chuckecheese.com/
